Architectural Drawing: From Paper to Photoshop by David Drazil (online art course)

Architectural Drawing: From Paper to Photoshop is an online drawing course that wants to teach you to draw like an architect.

The course instructor is David Drazil, a trained architect with a degree in architecture and building engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague and a master’s in architecture and design from Aalborg University in Aalborg, Denmark.

He loves to sketch and has an Instagram page showing off his architecture drawings.

This course will teach you how to digitise your hand drawn sketch, apply colours, effects and textures with Photoshop. The course is suitable for beginners who want to learn to sketch.

The course starts out with basic theory on making art, such as using composition, perspective, colour theory.

The drawing exercises are shown step by step with instructions and explanation.

Since the course uses Photoshop to edit images and add colours, it's best to have Photoshop. But you can of course use other software that can do the same job, e.g. Affinity Photo.

This is an insightful course with many drawing tips and techniques shared. The pace is accessible and everything is explained clearly and concisely that anyone can follow along.
